Thorne saves Ensley at a bar and on her way home she gets a letter from her stalker ex which leads her to call Thorne. He rushes over he dozens know what it is but he has a need to protect her and when she asks him to be her bodyguard he gets a brilliant idea for his club to protect her, they need to stay clean anyway and this is just the way to do it. While guarding her they both fall fast and hard for each other but Thorne is in denial until Ensley is kidnaped and he finally realizes how he feels can the club rescue Ensley before it's too late and will Thorne get a chance to admit his true feelings. I really liked this story. It's an enjoyable MC romance.

This was a tough one to rate. MC reads are my favorite so I am picky. This started off a little hard to grasp but after the first couple of chapters it was ok. I will try another in this series.
I was so excited to read this book from the blurb... but I'm sad to say I couldn't connect with the couple...

Like thron... for a dude who was hired to protect the girl.. took off twice.. leaving her unguarded... not even guarded by the members of the club at the time..those two moments the crazy ex could have gotten her...

Plus the whole shall we shall we not... but we can still sleep together.. blah blah was ugh
Based on the blurb I thought this would be a great read. It was just ok. The writing seems a little rudimentary in parts and definitly clichéd. The characters are likable but not super well developed, so I didn't really feel any emotional investment in their relationship. Overall it was an OK book, but dropped the ball, missing the chance at being a great one.
Thorn was made president of his MC when members were killed and some placed in jail. He was VP but now the presidency falls to him...He is looking to set up more legal activities for his club. He meets Ensley at a bar where some guy is giving her a hard time he gets the guy away from her they develop an instant chemistry. His protection is for Ansley against her ex who is threatening her. This is a great start to a new series and hope to be reading more of the Grim Reapers MC!!
This is a quick read but not your usual MC story. Ensley has been running from her past because her ex-boyfriend was abusive, and she feared for her life. She moved across the country to get away from her ex and believe everything would be fine since he has not heard from him in 5 years. How, she was wrong with her dreams coming true of being an upcoming actress in new sitcom. Then Thorn a biker who just happens to be the President of MC Club stumbles into her life and saves her at a bar from a man. Ensley had no clue that meeting Thorn that night might just save her life again when her ex comes to get her back. Will Thorn save her in time a second time from her ex. Grab a copy and find out, you will not be disappointed.
Protected by the Biker is the story of Thorn, a newly appointed President of the Grim Reapers MC, and Ensley, a popular actress. They meet at a bar and the chemistry is intense. Ensley has an ex-boyfriend that has made threats and she hires Thorn and his MC to protect her. The romance is sweet, the sex scenes are rated R and the plot strong. Although this is a genre that I don't usually like, the characters drew me in and I wanted them to find their HEA. The story comes to a satisfying conclusion.
CAUTION This book deals with some not-so-glamourous aspects of the motorcycle club, as well as illegal and perhaps immoral choices.
I have to believe that all the 4 and 5 star reviews were written by folks that have never read a real biker book before.

This is the closest to one of the sweetest MC club stories that I have ever read. It technically has all the elements of a good biker story sex (mediocre) criminal activities (in their past) with a current kidnapping (half-hearted action)

What it does not have is the writing that could bring it to life, it just sort of drags on in a numbing way. I don't even recall any foul language being used.

No surprises, no thrilling action, and no hot sex.
Boring in a big way.
